I am an African American, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I am a strength based, directive, solution focused psychotherapist who believes in a person’s innate capacity to heal and be resilient.
My experience includes over 17 years working with individuals, couples, children, families, and teens by supporting them in navigating complex emotional issues such childhood trauma, divorce, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, addiction, behavioral disruptions in the classroom, ADHD, oppositional defiance, court-ordered interventions (CPS, Probation, Family Court) and LGBTQ+ issues such as coming out and acceptance. Life can be challenging, so I believe it is important to honor the therapeutic process, while teaching my clients the tools needed to help them grow and thrive.
One of my goals is to make therapy as accessible as possible. I also understand that different therapeutic settings allow for better connection and healing. In order to best serve my clients, I offer both in person and telehealth services.

Often, our
behaviors and reactions are rooted in past experiences or emotions that we aren’t aware of. A therapist can help you explore those emotions and learn how to manage them in a constructive way.
